Monetary policy meeting at which the Executive Board takes a decision on monetary policy including the policy rate.

The Executive Board’s monetary policy decision, including the decision on the policy rate, will be published together with the Monetary Policy Update for May 2026.

The decision on the level of the policy rate will apply from 13 May 2026.

The Riksbank is arranging a press conference on the monetary policy decision. The press conference will take place at the Riksbank, Brunkebergstorg 11. Press cards or the equivalent must be shown to attend. The press conference will be broadcast live at riksbank.se and on Youtube.

The minutes from the Executive Board's monetary policy discussion on 6 May 2026 will be published.

Deputy Governor Göran Hjelm gives his first speech as a member of the Executive Board. He will speak about monetary policy trade-offs and economic policy interactions in the event of supply shocks at a breakfast seminar to be held at the Riksbank.
